Stuart Makim Transport often referred to as 'SMT' was established in 2005, after Stuart bought his first truck, a 1987 model black Western Star, still seen out and about today. Stuart’s passion for trucks started at a young age, and only grew from there, cementing his career path early on. He started his time in the industry working for other local companies, some of which he operates alongside now.

Almost 20 years later we are still a family owned and operated business, however things look quite different now. In 2022, we expanded our truck yard to house our 8 trucks and various trailers. We also welcomed a brand new Kenworth 509 to our fleet and have plans to continue expanding.

SMT is most proud of the relationships we have built with our customers through our hard work, with many of our clients being with us from the start. We work hard to ensure customer satisfaction in hopes to create repeat business.

Although being based in regional NSW, our trucks travel to all corners of Australia transporting goods. You can find us in Mildura, Victoria carting almonds or moving scrapers in central Queensland. We can and will go wherever our business takes us.

Our employees are our biggest asset and we are lucky to have some of the best, with their care and attention to detail being unmatched. We currently have 8 crew members on the road, someone in the yard to keep things running smoothly and our office lady who keeps everyone in order.
